The Abbey pub closer to home (see below) offers a great menu and is ideal for just wandering out to get a bite to eat and a cold beer or 2. Santa Pola’s Restarante Batiste is an extraordinary dining experience offering fresh fish and produce bought daily at the port.
Restaurants on La Mata seafront (15 minutes drive) offer some fantastic traditional Spanish dishes while you can watch the world go by. Remember that fresh paella in Spain takes a while to cook but it is worth the wait.
